I'll need each of you to post...
*______ retrieves Oak's Parcel (0%)*
...in order to start, once you have done so, in order to stay in the challenge, post
*______ carries Oak's Parcel (_%)* (Every 10 minutes on the dot).
Of course, you will start at 0%, and for each post successfully completed on the 10 minute mark, you will increase the percentage by 1.
If you somehow get to 100%, you have successfully brought the parcel all the way. (If anyone makes it to 100% I will be shocked, but you don't get a prize for coming in 1st)
Example
*Ash retrieve's Oak's Parcel (0%)* (9:00PM)
...
*Ash carries Oak's Parcel (1%)* (9:10PM)
...
*Ash carries Oak's Parcel (2%)* (9:20PM)
...
*Ash carries Oak's Parcel (3%)* (9:30PM)
...
*Ash carries Oak's Parcel (4%)* (9:41PM)
Final Score: 3%
Make sense?
Now, pick your starting point wisely, because if you fail to post at exactly the ten minute mark, your distance will halt and that will be your final score for the challenge. There are no do-over's.
Now, worry not, because there is no need to carry this parcel the full 100%, in fact you are not even competing for Immunity.
For the 21 newcomers, this is a chance to show your stuff and just generally get your foot in the door of the game. Doing well here could help people's opinions of you.
The three Captains, however, are competing against each other. The Captain that gets the the chance to pick players for their team.
After 24 hours have passed, the results for the Newcomers will be shown. At that point, the Captains will PM me a list of players, the higher on the lists they are, the more they want them on their team be it based on first impressions or the score of the first challenge, and the lower they are the less they want them.
The order of how the Captains do in this challenge decide the order in which they'll be picking people. Players will thus be picked for teams based on the results of this challenge.
Please post under the thread, "Special Challenge #1" in your confessionals.
Damn, the last 2 days I didn't get any computer time!
